Flowers in the wilderness

Last night we stayed at Boysen state park. A tranquil spot with hardly another soul staying. We practically had the whole place to ourselves. The flowers that grew there had me astounded. Blooming and fragrant in what seemed dry ground and I’m sure the weather here can be unforgiving. That’s one of my many fascinations with plants. They thrive and bloom in the most unexpected conditions. For this reason they can provide us countless diverse and powerful oils. Our green allies. How I love them.
